Christian rapper Limoblaze has been a major voice behind the prayer walk in Nigeria amidst the ongoing protest for Police reforms in the country.

The musician whose real name is Samuel Imo made the tweet that has sparked a prayer walk by Nigerians at home and in diaspora.

“Where my Nigerian Christians at? What ya say we go on a peaceful protest/rally round the city just praying in tongues and declaring what we want to see in the land???
What we lock on earth in prayers will be sealed in heaven 🤗
#EndSARS #EndSARSProtest” he tweeted on October 9.

The response was voracious as singer Gaise, Jo’Deep, Praiseworld Radio CEO Tola Omoniyi, Imisioluwa Owolabi and about 600 christian youths joined him for the first prayer walk on Sunday at ICM Ikeja.

The effect of this new turn from Nigerian youths went farther than expected as Nigerians in Jos, Kaduna, Abuja, Jos, Ilorin, Houston, UK, Canada, Markurdi and other towns within Lagos quickly made arrangements for a prayer walk too.

At Kaduna, it is reported that someone who joined the prayer walk with crutches got healed.

“This happened at Jos today and I’m the most fulfilled I’ve ever been in my life seeing children of God gathering across the whole nation to pray to ABBA,” Limoblaze excitedly posted on his social media page.

“Earlier today at the Kaduna #Prayerwalk someone who walked in with crutches, dropped them off and was healed and I told Pastor @imisioluwaowolabi earlier today that I can never leave this God, No! Never! All the days of my long God glorifying days on this earth. Nigeria is walking into a new season.” he recounted.

Pastor Sam Adeyemi of Daystar International had endorsed the movement with various retweets. The youth church of Daystar known as Star Hub also put out a short statement giving props to the rapper Limoblaze for the initiative.

As to this, many more cities around the globe have joined in the prayer walk. Already Ikeja, Lagos has witnessed 2 episodes.

Iconic Gospel music minister Sammie Okposo also endorsed the move by posting a flyer of the Ogba Prayer Walk scheduled for the 17th of October and kicking off at Excellence Hotel, Ogba.
