Chris Brown’s concert in Kenya the weekend passed was hit by a hitch that had threatened to bring the whole concert down
The excitement of having American superstar, Chris Brown perform in Kenya was probably too much.
Too much that people missed one vital incidence- a nasty fight between popular Tanzanian singer AliKiba and Wiz Kid caused by supremacy battle between them. Now, incase ylu are asking who, “who the hell is AliKiba?”. Well, Alikiba is not an artiste of little substance.
Most music videos of the singer released on his official YouTube page garner nothing less than 4million to 8 million views. He is also a very close buddy to some of Kenyan’s biggest politicians.
According to a report from Tuko news and many other Kenya’s media outlets, during the Chris Brown’s concert the weekend past, organisers had scheduled AliKiba to perform after Wiz Kid.
When Wiz Kid realised that he was being played to curtain raise for an artist who was beneath his level, he refused to perform.
Alikiba on the other hand, argued that the was bigger than Wiz Kid in Kenya and was therefore, bigger and better than Wiz Kid.
The back-and-forth spat affected the concert by delaying the two artists’ performances. Brown’s appearance had to be pushed to past 11pm.
After all had been said and done, Wiz Kid performed before AliKiba. Unfortunately, minutes into his second song, Alikiba’s microphone seemed to have been disconnected.
He had to leave the stage to make way for Brown’s 90-minute crowd smasher.
Later in the night after Brown had left the stage, the organisers brought Alikiba back to the stage to finish his performance.
