Contract ended as Akwa United Head Coach Sacked

Information reaching our news desk reveals that the embattled Coach of Akwa United Football Club, Maurice Cooreman  has been sacked by the club’s management due to poor perform with the club at the just concluded 2016 season NPFL.

Premium9ja gathered from reliable sources within the club, that coaches shortlisted to take over from Cooreman are currently in a meeting with top management officials of the club.
Among those shortlisted are Enugu Rangers FC Coach, Imama Amapakabo, Mitko Dobrev of Ifeanyi Ubah FC and four coaches.

Recall that, earlier this year, the Belgian football Manager who has spent most of his entire coaching career in Africa was suspended following Akwa United FC’s defeat at home to Enyimba Int’l FC in the Matchday 13 of the NPFL on 24th Apr 2016.

Akwa United finished at No 14 at the just concluded 2016 season of Nigeria Professional Football League won by Enugu Rangers.
